My efforts and resources are to serve everyone but specifically in women’s health, no matter their background or status. I specialize in neuromuscular massage therapy with a compassionate approach with carefully adjusted and rehabilitative methods to help restore the body to proper function. Lumina is proudly located within a small medical office within a professional building in Miami Lakes, Florida. The vibe is warm, intimate and personalized. Lumina Massage is a small, independent and therapist-owned business. My values reside in working with integrity, excellence and compassion. Lumina is a family-focused business that also caters to pediatric massage with sports-related injuries, fertility, postpartum moms, menopause, tired dads and their extended family. All are welcome!

My focus is to relieve physical pain caused by muscular spasms, cramping, muscle-induced nerve impingement/entrapment and swelling commonly associated with pregnancy, injury, strain, overuse, autoimmune disorders or neurological conditions. Clients are advised towards home care and healthy lifestyle choices. Neuromuscular massage therapy for pregnancy may help:

  • decreases physical discomfort

  • prepares your body for birth
  • speeds up recovery time

It positively affects your baby, your extended family and your overall quality of life after birth. It is my first mission to serve and there is a special place in my heart for women’s health and those in need of compassion and healing through clinical massage.

Meet Michelle

It was a warm September day in 1997 when I graduated from the Florida College of Natural Health, Miami Campus. I began working into the world of massage at the tender age of nineteen. Over two decades later I can gratefully say that my belief in massage/manual therapy as a clinical treatment for muscle pain is stronger than ever. My two specialties in massage are Neuromuscular and Prenatal. I love human anatomy and truly enjoy seeing the relief that people discover through natural methods of healing such as massage.

My first certification in NMT (Neuromuscular Massage Therapy) began in the year 2000 when I was trained at Center Pointe Education by two Physical Therapists. I was introduced to trigger points, myofascial release and all the ways rehabilitative massage can help people with serious muscle, fascia and soft tissue pain. In 2005 I attained my first certification prenatal massage and felt a calling to serve women during pregnancy and in pain. I’m also a graduate of the James Waslaski seminars in Orthopedic Massage Therapy.

I’ve been blessed to work in reputable five-star resorts on the lovely shores of Miami Beach and rub elbows, share ideas and a few laughs with the nation’s top massage therapists. I’ve also worked in the state of Florida’s teaching and respected Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida within the Physical Therapy Department and excellent workplace settings. These opportunities pushed me to be a true student of the human body and bring my best clinical massage work everyday.

I’m also proud and grateful to work with a network of local physicians and ethical health care providers that support wellness and refer massage for their patients’ welfare. My sincere hope is that through the quality of work clients and health care professionals experience at Lumina Massage we can show the world how massage can be included as a valid form of therapy in healthcare.

Below is a list of the award-winning healthcare companies ,luxury spa and some leading hotels of the world that I have had the pleasure to work with, have been recruited by or free-lanced in. I am proud to be associated with each one and showcase them to assure you that you’re receiving the same level of expertise as if you were visiting one of these amazing facilities.

  • I am blown away at the amount of pain relief Lumina Massage has given me! I felt improvement in my chronic shoulder pain after just one massage and was able to work out for the first time in years without pain. I feel like  they listened to me and my body and are very knowledgable, professional, and genuine.

  • I felt comfortable and everything was explained. I didn't come in because of a specific injury, but because of soreness in my shoulders/back.  It was sorted it out and I felt less tension in that area after the session.
